In the beginning, they started off in their own backyard making sausage seasonings for the meat packing industry as they slowly began to grow. Gene passed away in 1992, leaving the fate of the business in the hands of Delores and their youngest son Kevin who decided the business must continue on. Clifco Spice Sales, Inc. grew and evolved and quickly began building a legacy in the world of barbecue. In 2007 Delores passed away leaving Kevin as President of the company, willing and eager to continue to grow the business started by his dear parents. Kevin and his daughter, Laura, stepped up to continue the beloved family business and the dream of his mother and father to become one of the largest producing spice companies in Texas. Over the years, Clifco continued to grow and do well, leaving a footprint in the industry.[/woodmart_responsive_text_block]

Kevin worked closely with one of the biggest barbecue entrepreneurs around. In 2014 they started out with tiny, $300 orders which rapidly grew by 2024 having $250,000 – $375,000 orders weekly.
During the pandemic, people quickly began choosing to cook at home and Clifco has been growing at a tremendous rate ever since. Clifco now supplies several well-known barbecue companies such as Hardcore Carnivore, Texas Oil Dust, and Meat Church BBQ. Clifco does all
their blending in house and produces upwards of 15,000 – 25,000 pounds of spice in one day during their busiest season throughout the year.
In 2023 Clifco moved into the new, bigger location in Mansfield, TX which is approximately 97,000 square feet. With the growth and larger space to operate they will be able to double, if not triple business and blending operations in the near future.[/woodmart_responsive_text_block]
